Description

Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS or desktop applications products. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

1. Participate in analysis, design, implementation and testing of software sub-systems.
2. Manage deliverables in identified schedules 3. Document designs.
4. Write, test and document program code.
5. Find, troubleshoot and correct defects in program code.
6. Support application use and deployment.
7. Design algorithms, program structures and components.
8. Analyze business requirements for use in design and programming.
9. To write embedded code in C or C++ to meet various metering requirements 10. To design and prepare firmware backbone.
11. To design and prepare Firmware Design Description, concurrency scenario, protection etc 12. To work with hardware team to design the most effective solution for metering requirements.

Experience:
This position requires a minimum of 2 years related experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Certification(s):
Travel: 10 - 30%
Physical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.

3. Determine scope of effort of large projects - identify risks and implement viable courses of action.
4. Perform justification (cost-benefit analysis)
5. Participate in technical due diligence on potential partners, suppliers and acquisitions, and document their strategic relevance.
6. Ensure that projects are planned and executed in a timely and efficient manner.
7. Understand business objectives linked to the development and application of technology.
8. Serve as technical interface between Itron, academia and industry consortia.
9. Publish documents, make presentation and participate in technical audits.

Experience:
